Not connected images

If your images have a too low overlap between them, or if they are at different places in the upload you will see a warning. When this warning is shown you are not able to upload images to the forest. See troubleshooting below.

1. A good upload

A good upload is shown by a polygon in one color and all the images are visible. The image below visualizes how a good upload looks like.

2. Missing images

Missing images in an area are going to be able to upload. Sometimes you want to exclude an area (maybe over a house or so) and then there will be a hole in the middle, which is fine. If that is not your intention you might be missing some images. Make sure to always control your area before uploading to make sure that you got all your images into the upload.

You can add more images before uploading. If you upload a duplicate it will overwrite the old one so don't worry about adding duplicates.

When adding new images this will overwrite duplicates.

It could cause images with the same name to overwrite and therefore missing images in the case that your drone has named images to the same name in different folders. To prevent losing images in the upload make sure you have renamed images if it has been saved in different folders.

The image below visualizes an okay upload with a hole in it.

3. Too low overlap or Images of different places

Images that have too low overlap or if they are captured at different places, sometimes we accidentally add images from another flight to the one we are trying to analyze. No worries! It is not possible to upload not connected images in an upload. With connected images, we mean images that cover an area and have at least some overlap. Our recommended overlap can be seen in our drone guide.

Not connected images are visualized with polygons in different colors. See the image below.

This order will not be able to upload. If this is how you collected your images, make sure to divide the order into two different uploads and then try again. If it is not how you captured your images try to remove all images and retry the upload. If you still have trouble try and retake the images over the forest again and make sure to follow the drone guide. If you want to hire drone pilots from Arboair to capture the images you can order a drone pilot from your account. See our getting started guide.

4. Not drone images

Trying to upload images that do not contain GPS data and that are from a drone that is not supported is not possible. However, it is possible to upload images, from supported drones, that might not be correctly captured. If this happens you can manually delete those images from the upload and still do an analysis on the rest of the images. For the future make sure to follow the drone guide.
