Swedish regulations

When flying your drone you need to make sure to follow all legislation and regulations.

Some steps to take are:

  1. First of all you need to have a Drone License. In Sweden you get this from Transportsstyrelsen
  2. Then you need to look into what regulations apply to your missions. The Swedish Transportation Agency have collected the important legislation and summarised it in a film here.
  3. When taking photos with your drone you need to follow Lantmäteriets regulations on the Distribution of Geographical data. We at Arboair have made it as easy as possible for you and so long that you do not upload any illegal images to our portal you are good to go. If your want to learn more you can read here. Your forest is most likely included in the exceptions from the regulations.
  4. When going to fly you have to make sure that there are no restrictions on flights in your area. You can see that here. If there are you might need to contact your closest Air Traffic Control Center/responsible military or municipality to get permission to fly.
